Know Little Rock.
Little Rock is the capital and most populous city of Arkansas, with 202,591 residents in the 2020 census. It sits on the south bank of the Arkansas River in Pulaski County. Little Rock's economy mixes health care, banking, transportation and retail; Dillard's and Windstream are headquartered here, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a major employer. Cultural sites include the Clinton Presidential Center, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and the Quapaw Quarter. The 1957 desegregation crisis at Central High School is part of its national history.

Three ways we help.
Little Rock roads we cover.
Runs southwest toward Texarkana and crosses the river downtown. Merges near the I-40 junction across the river in North Little Rock are tight for a creeping car.
The cross-country interstate passes north of the river. Heading east toward Memphis or west toward Fort Smith means long rural runs, so charge first.
An east-west auxiliary through the middle of the city linking downtown with west Little Rock. Rush-hour slowdowns add cooling or heating time.
The western bypass crossing the river. Gaps between exits are longer than in town, so do not start the loop on a thin battery.

Central High today
The National Park Service says the historic site is free to visit, open Tuesday through Saturday, with ranger programs at 1 p.m. that do not include access inside the working school. Expect visitors near the school on those days.
River crossings
The Arkansas River Trail runs about 17 miles on both banks and includes the Big Dam Bridge, the longest pedestrian and bicycle bridge in North America built without train or car use. Tell us which bank you are on when you call.
Temperature extremes
The source article records a low of minus 12°F in 1899 and a high of 114°F in 2011. Neither is typical, but both remind drivers that extremes do happen and that buffer matters.
Creeks, foothills and the lake
Fourche Creek and Rock Creek run through the city to the river, and the western neighborhoods sit in the Ouachita foothills. Northwest of the city lie Pinnacle Mountain and Lake Maumelle, which supplies the city's drinking water. Pinnacle Mountain State Park covers about 2,000 acres. Western trips climb, so add buffer before heading out.
Quapaw Quarter and the airport side
The Quapaw Quarter includes three National Register historic districts with at least a hundred listed buildings. On the east side, Dassault Falcon Jet operates near Clinton National Airport. These are very different trips, one through tight historic streets and one along industrial roads, so tell us the district.
Arboretum and trailheads
Pinnacle Mountain State Park includes the Arkansas Arboretum, and its trailheads sit well northwest of downtown at the end of roads with few chargers. Arrive with enough charge for the return, especially after a long hike in summer heat.
Central city rhythm
State offices, hospitals and the River Market district keep downtown busy on weekdays, and lots there fill early. Cars left all day in summer heat are prone to auxiliary battery failures by evening; give us the garage name and level when you call.
Game days at War Memorial
War Memorial Stadium hosts at least one Razorback football game a year and sits in the middle of a golf course, which the city closes on those weekends so an estimated 80,000 fans can tailgate. Roads around the stadium in midtown jam for hours, so plan the charge before kickoff.
When a Little Rock charger lets you down.
Interstates split the city into chunks, and the next charger can be across a river crossing or an interchange. If your planned station is full and you are already low, park somewhere legal rather than joining a queue on I-30. A $175 charge where you are costs less than a flatbed at $150 plus $10 per mile.
Little Rock climate, by the numbers.
Little Rock has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cool winters that usually bring little snow. The record low of minus 12°F came in February 1899, and the record high of 114°F in August 2011. For EVs, long summer heat and occasional ice storms are the main reasons to carry extra charge.

Imagine a commuter heading west in slow traffic, heater running on a cold evening, as range falls below five miles. The driver would exit, find a safe lot and call. Added range would get the car to its garage in west Little Rock.

Picture a visitor coming back from the Clinton Center to a car parked a full day that refuses to start. A jump would likely revive it, and the technician would confirm the main pack had enough charge to get home. Hypothetical, not a logged job.

Little Rock, answered.
01Do you cover North Little Rock?
We take calls on both banks. Say which bridge or interstate you used to cross the Arkansas so we can route correctly.
02Can you reach me on I-430?
Yes. A wide shoulder works, but an exit ramp to a lit lot is safer if the car can still make it.
03What does a charge cost?
Range runs $175 for about 25 to 50 miles. Need the auxiliary battery revived too? That pair is $195.
04Can you install a 12-volt battery?
Yes. Installation is $195 plus the battery, quoted first.
05Do you tow?
Yes. Flatbed towing through partners is $150, plus $10 for each mile to the destination you pick.
