Mobile charging for Porsche
Connector
Porsche EVs sold in the US use CCS1. Porsche has announced J3400 (NACS) adoption and adapter access.
Charge port
Taycan has charge flaps on both front fenders, with DC on only one side in US versions; the other is AC only. Macan Electric has charging flaps at the rear; confirm which side carries DC on your car.
Charging behavior
Taycan and Macan Electric use an 800-volt architecture. On 400-volt equipment, charging relies on an onboard booster where fitted, and speed varies by option and model year.
- Spirited driving consuming far more energy than the estimate
- Track days or mountain roads far from fast charging
- Low-voltage battery faults after long storage
Connector and port details vary by model year and market. Your owner’s manual is the final word.
