Mobile charging for Toyota

Out of charge in a Toyota? We bring the charge to you. A plug-in hybrid out of fuel is usually a fuel-delivery call, not an EV charge.

Connector

bZ4X uses CCS1 for DC charging. Plug-in hybrids such as Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime use a J1772 AC inlet only and cannot DC fast charge. Toyota has announced J3400 (NACS) adoption for future EVs.

Charge port

bZ4X places the port on the front passenger-side fender. Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime place the J1772 inlet on the passenger-side rear.

Charging behavior

bZ4X DC charging speed is sensitive to temperature; early model years had more conservative fast-charge limits, which software updates have changed.

Why Toyota drivers call us
  • bZ4X winter trips with slow charging at the first stop
  • PHEV owners who are out of both fuel and charge
  • 12V battery drain

Connector and port details vary by model year and market. Your owner’s manual is the final word.
