Know Glendale.
Glendale borders Phoenix in Maricopa County and had 248,325 residents in the 2020 census. It is best known for State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, which draws huge crowds on game days and for major events. The city also contains Arrowhead Towne Center, a large regional mall in the north. Glendale runs its own drinking-water system for most of town, while electricity comes from Arizona Public Service and Salt River Project. The city stretches west along the loops into fast-growing areas near Loop 303. We cover the stadium district, Arrowhead, the historic core and the western neighborhoods.

Three ways we help.
Glendale climate, by the numbers.
Glendale's climate table shows July highs around 106°F with overnight lows near 85°F, and December lows close to 45°F. The article describes a hot desert climate typical of southern Arizona, with very hot, dry summers and mild winters. For EVs, summer nights stay warm enough that battery cooling may run even after dark. Winter is easy on range.

Where we meet you in Glendale.
Stadium district
State Farm Stadium dominates the area along the 101. Lots are vast and open. Give us the lot name and row, and expect event traffic to slow access for an hour or more.
Arrowhead Towne Center
The mall in the north draws weekend shoppers. Its lots are large. Note the nearest entrance and row, and park in shade if you can.
Historic downtown
The older core has small lots and street parking near Grand Avenue. Give us the block. Rail crossings nearby can delay our approach.
Northern Parkway
The east–west route crosses the middle of the city. If you stall there, exit to a surface street and call from a lot.
West near the 303
Newer neighborhoods and industrial parks sit along the Estrella Freeway. Stations are farther apart. Share a pin and expect a longer wait.
Grand Avenue industrial
Warehouses and older businesses line the diagonal route. Rail tracks run alongside. Do not stop near crossings. Pull into a lot and give us the address.
Loop 101 north
The freeway runs past Arrowhead toward Peoria. Commuters often drain the pack on long rush-hour crawls. Exit early and find a lot along the frontage road.
Glendale Community College
The community college campus has large lots and steady traffic. Give us the lot number. Summer classes mean hot cars and tired batteries.
Concert and event nights
Besides football, the stadium hosts concerts and major events through the year. Each one fills the same lots and roads. Check the event calendar before you go, arrive with a full pack, and plan to wait out the exit traffic before calling us if you run short.
Water and power
Glendale operates its own drinking water system for most of town, while electricity comes from Arizona Public Service and the Salt River Project. If you charge at home and have an outage, call your utility first. If the outage leaves your EV unable to reach a station, call us.
New River area
Irrigation from the Salt River Project serves areas east of the New River. Older neighborhoods there have alleys and canal roads. Do not drive onto a canal bank road to reach a charger; give us the nearest paved street instead.
Northern Parkway at rush hour
The parkway moves well midday but backs up at commute hours. A low pack can run dry in the backup. Leave at the next interchange and wait in a lot. If waiting will not fix it, call us from there with the interchange name.
Before you call
Have your plate, model and charge level ready. Say whether the car powers on. Mention kids, pets or heat risk first. If anyone is in danger, call 911 before us.
Glendale roads we cover.
The Agua Fria Freeway runs past the stadium district. Event traffic is heavy.
The Estrella Freeway serves the growing western edge, with long gaps between services.
An east–west freeway-style route across the city.
Grand Avenue runs diagonally toward the northwest Valley, with many signals.
When a Glendale charger lets you down.
On game and concert days, stadium-area chargers fill early and traffic locks the surrounding roads for hours. Out west near the 303, stations are fewer and farther apart. If your planned stop is unavailable and you are low, call before you join a slow line of event traffic.
Range in Glendale.
Stadium days
Cardinals games and major events pack lots and streets. Arrive charged, and expect an hour or more to leave.
Grand Avenue
US 60 runs diagonally with frequent lights and rail crossings. Long waits in heat use range.
West of the 101
Newer areas near the 303 have fewer public chargers. Keep a bigger buffer when driving out there.

State Farm Stadium lot after a game
Ford F-150 Lightning
Picture a Lightning that sat with accessories on during a long tailgate, the pack too low to make it home through exit traffic. In this example, the driver would call from the lot. Our tech would restore enough miles to clear the lot and reach a charger. Illustration only.
Loop 101 near Arrowhead
Kia Niro EV
Imagine a Niro on the 101 in July heat, the commute longer than usual and the range gone near the Arrowhead exit. In this scenario, the driver would exit and park before calling. A short charge would reach a station. Hypothetical.
