Know Henderson.
Henderson is the second most populous city in Nevada, with 317,610 residents in the 2020 census, about 16 miles southeast of Las Vegas in the same valley. Incorporated in 1953, it began as a World War II magnesium production town and grew through master-planned communities, starting with Green Valley. The city has more than 220 miles of trails and 72 parks. Lake Las Vegas sits to the east, Henderson Executive Airport serves general aviation, and Lee's Family Forum hosts pro sports. The Las Vegas Raiders are a major employer here. Harry Reid International Airport lies to the northwest. We cover Green Valley, Anthem, Inspirada, the lake and the older core along Boulder Highway.

Three ways we help.
Henderson climate, by the numbers.
Henderson's climate table, using rounded values from a commercial source, shows July highs near 101°F and December lows around 40°F. The article describes a hot desert climate with mild winters, occasional snow, summer monsoon storms and about 292 clear days a year. For EVs, summer heat drives battery cooling and 12-volt failures; winter mornings cost modest range.

When a Henderson charger lets you down.
Henderson's neighborhoods spread toward the mountains and Lake Las Vegas, and the newest areas can be far from fast chargers. Trips toward Boulder City and the dam leave the city quickly. If your planned station is busy or broken and you are already low, call before you head into open desert.
Where we meet you in Henderson.
Green Valley
The first big master-planned community anchors the west side, with shopping centers and resort lots. Give us the lot name and nearest entrance. Weekend traffic near the resort can slow us.
Lake Las Vegas
Resorts and homes surround the lake to the east. Distances are long, and some areas are gated. Share a pin and tell the gate staff a technician is coming.
Anthem and MacDonald Highlands
Hillside neighborhoods sit high above the valley. Climbs are steep, and stations are far. Turn back early if range looks tight.
Boulder Highway and Water Street
The older core runs along Boulder Highway near the Water Street District. Commercial lots are plentiful. Pull into one rather than stopping on the highway.
Inspirada and the south
Newer neighborhoods near St. Rose Parkway are growing fast. Public charging is thinner. Share a pin and expect longer response times.
Henderson Executive Airport
The city's general aviation field serves pilots and charter clients, who often park there for long periods. Give us the hangar or office name.
Lee's Family Forum
The 6,000-seat arena hosts pro sports and events. Lots fill quickly on game nights. Give us the lot and row, and wait for exit traffic to ease.
Raiders headquarters area
The team facility and nearby offices draw staff and visitors. Parking is controlled. Let security know we are coming, and give us the entrance.
Toward Boulder City
I-11 climbs out of the valley past the city. Services thin quickly. Charge before you leave town.
Sun City Anthem
The retirement community in the hills has quiet, curving streets and private garages. Residents who drive less often can find their 12-volt weakened. Give us the street address and the gate details if one applies, and we will come straight to the driveway.
Trails and parks
With more than 220 miles of trails and 72 parks, Henderson has many small trailhead lots. Hikers sometimes return to an EV that will not start after hours in the heat. Give us the trailhead or park name and share a pin.
Black Mountain industrial area
The old magnesium plant site still operates as an industrial complex along Lake Mead Parkway. Expect truck traffic and gated sites. Meet us at a public entrance rather than inside. Tell us which side of the parkway you are on so we approach from the correct direction.
Before you call
Have your plate, model and charge level ready. Say whether the car powers on. Mention kids, pets or heat risk first. If anyone is in danger, call 911 before us.
Range in Henderson.
Toward the dam
I-11 leaves the city and climbs toward Boulder City. Charge fully before a trip to Hoover Dam or Lake Mead.
Monsoon storms
The article notes summer monsoon storms that can cause flash flooding. Never cross running water to reach a station.
Hillside neighborhoods
Areas like MacDonald Highlands and Anthem sit on slopes. Climbing with little range is a common last straw.

I-11 toward Boulder City
Tesla Model X
Picture a Model X heading out on I-11 with family aboard on a 110°F day, the climb using more charge than expected. In this example, the driver would exit at the next safe spot and call. Dispatch would send a charger van to deliver enough miles for the trip back into Henderson. Illustration only.
Green Valley Parkway
Chevrolet Equinox EV
Imagine an Equinox EV that will not start in a Green Valley lot after a hot afternoon, the 12-volt exhausted. In this scenario, a technician would jump it and recommend a battery check. Hypothetical.
